We had an election. The American people – a record number of them — have spoken. The results are in and now we have expectations of what our new leader will do for us. A vaccine – several of them – are being approved and coming on the market. 2021 will be a lot different.
Bars and restaurants are among the entities bearing the brunt of the economic fallout of this pandemic. As you think about what to have for dinner tonight, order LAVISHLY! Tip HEAVILY! Let’s help them over the finish line, and help them survive!
The same goes for arts organizations. They are hard-hit by the months of shutdowns. They’ve trimmed to the bone and there’s still months to go before they’ll be back to capacity. As you think about your year-end giving, think about the arts and what they do for our community, how they make moments – evenings, vacations, special occasions – special. They make memories we all get excited about – watching or listening to amazing artists doing things that amaze us all.
Please, if you’re able, give generously to those less fortunate – so that by this time next year, we will still have those wonderful places to go and amazing things to do in our town.
Let’s make it a happy holiday season for all, and welcome all that will be different in 2021.
